Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Java, Spring Boot & Oracle)

About The Role

As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications while driving technical excellence across the software development lifecycle. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver innovative, secure, and high-quality solutions.

In This Role, You Will

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and modern front-end technologies including React.
• Lead software solution delivery by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving best engineering practices across the team.
• Create and maintain architecture and design artifacts while ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards for security, resiliency, and performance.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and delivery while validating outputs through peer reviews and automated testing.
• Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify trends, improve application performance, optimize system architecture, and enhance overall code quality.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days per week in a client office in Plano, Texas. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations. What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Extensive experience building scalable applications using Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
• Proven experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
• Strong database development experience with Oracle and advanced SQL query optimization.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing, debugging, and maintaining applications in large-scale corporate environments.
• Knowledge of React and modern front-end technologies.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, troubleshooting, and operational stability.
• Ability to independently own modules, drive technical discussions, and mentor junior team members.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and validating AI-generated outputs for quality, performance, security, and compliance.

Compensation The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
