Senior Performance Engineer

Requirements

Must have:

- 5+ years of experience in thermal system design, particularly with HVAC systems, air conditioning, refrigerant systems, or related fields.

• Profound understanding of heat transfer principles and fluid dynamics.
• Hands-on experience in the design and enhancement of thermal systems, such as refrigerant loops and heat exchangers.
• Advanced skills in thermal modeling using hand calculations, spreadsheets, and software tools like MATLAB or Python.

Responsibilities:

- Design and refine system performance models for our next-generation HVAC solutions, focusing on energy efficiency.

• Work closely with the controls team to enhance system performance utilizing field data and diverse control inputs.
• Create tools for product selection and performance estimation tailored for engineers, developers, and partners.
• Develop and implement thermal models based on first principles for heat and mass transfer in desiccant systems, using tools like MATLAB and Python.
• Evaluate and communicate trade-offs in system architecture, emphasizing thermal performance and efficiency.
• Conduct formal technical reviews and provide updates on technical status, risks, and project planning.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to supply essential thermal inputs for system integration.
