Senior Python / AI Engineer – LLM & Document Intelligence

We are looking for a Senior Python / AI Engineer with strong experience in Large Language Models (LLMs), document intelligence, and scalable data pipelines. In this role, you will design and build intelligent systems that process and analyze mortgage and financial documents such as loan applications, pay stubs, insurance policies, and W-2 forms.

You will work closely with architects and product teams to develop high-performance AI pipelines that are scalable, cost-efficient, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable pipelines for document ingestion, classification, and analysis.
• Develop AI-powered workflows using LLMs for document categorization, summarization, field extraction, and risk detection.
• Design flexible and extensible data schemas using tools like Pydantic.
• Implement high-performance Python processing using asyncio, multiprocessing, and threading.
• Integrate OCR technologies such as pdf2image, pytesseract, EasyOCR, and keras-ocr to process scanned documents.
• Build semantic search systems using vector databases like Qdrant or Pinecone.
• Integrate LLM services such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and Anthropic Claude.
• Optimize AI infrastructure costs and performance across different LLM providers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Python development.
• Strong expertise in Python concurrency, parallel processing, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Claude, etc.).
• Experience with vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone) and embedding models (SentenceTransformers, OpenAI embeddings).
• Hands-on experience with OCR pipelines and document processing.
• Strong knowledge of prompt engineering and structured outputs (JSON schema).
• Experience deploying solutions on AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Exposure to mortgage or financial document processing.
• Understanding of distributed systems and high-volume document processing architectures.
• Experience optimizing AI/ML workload costs and performance
