Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience) - Practical experience with C++, Python, Perl, or Shell scripting - Strong grasp of Linux system administration, ideally with RHEL - Familiarity with OpenSSL, TLS, cryptographic protocols, and PKCS - Knowledge of Linux cybersecurity tools such as SELinux, fapolicyd, and secure boot - Ability to identify and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities - Outstanding debugging, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal - Experience with the Qt application framework (preferred) - Understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and secure coding practices (preferred) - Knowledge of Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and hardware-backed key storage (preferred) - Relevant certifications such as RHCE, Security+, CISSP, CSSLP, or similar (preferred) - Awareness of FDA Cybersecurity Guidance, GDPR, NIST, and compliance frameworks (preferred) - Familiarity with IEC 62304 and standards applicable to Class II/III medical devices (preferred) - Background in regulated industries such as aerospace, automotive, healthcare, or defense (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using C++ and Python - Manage Linux systems and enhance system security - Operate with cryptographic methods and OpenSSL - Conduct assessments to identify and address cybersecurity vulnerabilities - Collaborate across functional teams to achieve project goals - Document processes, solutions, and findings effectively - Participate in various phases of the software development lifecycle
