Software Development Manager, Energy Optimization

Requirements

Must have:

- Over 3 years of experience managing engineering teams - More than 7 years of engineering expertise - Familiarity with engineering methodologies and frameworks throughout the complete software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live operations - Background in collaborating with product or program management teams - Strong interest in Corporate Sustainability and/or the Energy Sector - Effective communication skills and experience liaising with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, explain software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Proven experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing Software Engineering teams to enhance their skills and effectiveness - Background in the Energy Industry or Corporate Sustainability

Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of Software and Data Engineers managing various products at different stages of their lifecycle - Ensure daily reliability of solutions while enhancing and refining current systems - Experiment with new optimization strategies to support AWSs Energy and Sustainability goals - Foster collaboration with engineering, science, and business partners - Combine analytical abilities with a dedicated approach to advancing energy transition initiatives
