For our client, we are seeking a Software Development Manager - Java to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions.
The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $150,600 – $180,100 annually
Responsibilities
- Manage a small team of developers and systems analysts
- Evaluate and address customer needs for long-term solutions
- Resolve customer-reported issues quickly and effectively
- Become a product domain expert to assist team members
- Contribute to application architecture development and standards compliance
- Design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements
- Support project goals to meet business and technology requirements
Qualifications
- BS in an engineering field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of team management experience
- 4+ years of experience working with Java
- 2+ years of experience with cloud solutions (Azure, Google, Amazon)
- Experience in agile software development methodologies
- Excellent knowledge of Enterprise Level technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
