Software Engineering Lead - Java & Cloud

Requirements

Must have:

- 6+ years of experience with a Software Program that has significant Hardware dependencies.

• Proficient in GitLab, encompassing version control, CI/CD, and issue tracking.
• Strong grasp of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and continuous integration.
• Experience in maintaining software metrics and using them to lead a software engineering team.
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Math, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and popular technology stacks.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools, including Ansible and GitLab.
• Proven ability to implement improvements across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Experience with proposals and preparing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
• Skilled in infrastructure automation, particularly with Ansible, GitLab, and Nexus.
• Ability to write Ansible Playbooks for configuration management.
• Security+ certification is highly desired; Linux+ certification is a plus.
• Strong scripting skills in both Windows (PowerShell) and Linux (shell scripting).
• Experience administering Windows Domain/Active Directory.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the overall technical, capability, and schedule performance of software engineering.

• Serve as the representative for the Lead Software Engineer during software engineering operations.
• Define and adhere to the software engineering processes, procedures, and necessary process assets for the program.
• Address software engineering staffing, resource, and infrastructure needs.
• Manage software engineering costs, schedules, and technical performance at the product level.
• Lead the development of software architecture for the program.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the software engineering discipline and implement 1LMX techniques and strategies.
