Software Engineering Manager - Java/Cloud

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline - 6+ years of technical engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python - Proven ability to manage managers or multiple engineering teams on a global scale - Demonstrated proficiency in overcoming complex technical issues in areas like distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or cloud services - Experience interacting with customers during integration or deployment phases to ensure value delivery and incorporate feedback - Capability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements

Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor engineering teams, promoting collaboration and career development through coaching and feedback - Utilize data-driven insights and competitive analysis to define product direction, recognize opportunities, and support strategic decision-making - Align with engineering and partner teams by clarifying technical direction and fostering shared ownership - Partner with experience, SDK, and platform teams to ensure smooth integration and feature delivery across the stack - Oversee the development of essential platform components and reusable tools to enhance team efficiency and innovation - Actively engage with customers and product teams to gather feedback, identify demand signals, and refine product messaging to align with customer needs - Ensure operational excellence in managing large-scale distributed systems and lead root cause analysis for significant live site incidents, identifying systemic enhancements and setting high performance standards
