Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in engineering management.
- Proven experience managing multiple teams or a group of 7+ engineers and leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to define and deliver a technical vision aligned with business strategy.
- Strong background in distributed, cloud-based product development, ideally with Azure or AWS.
- Solid understanding of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, microservices, and scalable architectures.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to distill complex technical concepts and present them clearly to leadership and cross-functional audiences.
- A strong technical foundation in software engineering with the ability to mentor across technical domains is a plus.
- Experience building high-performing, engaged teams that ship impactful software will help you stand out.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale our Transformers team as we develop next-generation intelligent products.
- Guide teams building scalable, secure, and innovative cloud-based systems for document transformation, OCR, and text extraction.
- Define and drive the engineering vision and execution for Transformers initiatives, aligning product, engineering, and business priorities.
- Own and maintain the roadmap for the Transformers engineering organization, balancing innovation with operational excellence.
- Oversee delivery across multiple teams to ensure high-quality releases delivered on time.
- Mentor engineers and technical staff while fostering trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, performance management, and career development to strengthen diverse, high-impact teams.
- Partner with Product Management and Design to set priorities and maintain strategic alignment.
- Present technical strategies, roadmaps, and progress updates to senior leadership in business-oriented language.
- Act as the connector between technical and non-technical stakeholders by translating complex ideas into actionable insights.
- Promote strong engineering practices around architecture, reliability, scalability, security, compliance, performance, and privacy.
- Encourage experimentation and responsible use of emerging AI technologies.
- Foster a growth mindset, continuous learning, transparency, and a collaborative culture across the engineering organization.
- Support knowledge sharing and contributions to open-source initiatives across the company.
