Markon’s partner company is seeking a Software Integration Engineer II to support enterprise systems and network infrastructure within a mission-focused environment. In this role, you will help manage and maintain complex computer systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions that ensure reliable and secure operations.
The ideal candidate will work closely with technical teams and users to diagnose issues, support infrastructure deployments, and assist with integrating new technologies into enterprise environments.
Manage and maintain enterprise computer systems and network infrastructure
Monitor system and network performance, interpreting outputs that indicate system status and operational health
Diagnose technical issues and develop corrective actions and technical solutions
Translate user requirements into technical diagnoses and system solutions
Support the installation and configuration of hardware, including servers and network infrastructure
Assist with migrating existing users and systems to new architectures or technologies with minimal operational impact
Evaluate emerging technologies and equipment for integration into enterprise standard solutions
Implement security best practices, including PKI certificate generation, deployment, and maintenance
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Computer or information systems design and development
Information, cyber, or network security
Vulnerability analysis or penetration testing
Experience with network or system administration
Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience
OR
Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience
OR
Associate’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience
OR
High School Diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience
IAT Level I certification required, such as Security+ CE
Strong experience working with Linux systems
Experience with systems, network, or application administration
Experience supporting hardware installation, including servers and networking equipment
Experience configuring storage solutions, such as network-attached storage (NAS)
Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting, including Bash, Bourne, or C shell
Experience deploying and maintaining Nginx
Familiarity with Docker and Red Hat Satellite
Familiarity with cloud computing environments, such as AWS
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform, SALT, or Ansible
Experience with system monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana
Experience working with SELinux and FIPS-compliant environments
USD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
