Solution Architect The Solution Architect reports to the Head of Enterprise Architecture and works with Infrastructure, Security, Engineering, and Data Architecture teams to support the Data Center Migration Program.
Responsibilities –
- Support Global Data Center Migration Program moving on prem applications into Azure.
- Key member of the Architecture Review Board consulting Delivery Teams on design to ensure proper documentation is produced and Enterprise and Security Architecture is to adhered to.
- Identifies, documents, and translates business and technical requirements into an architecture blueprint to achieve business objectives.
- Identifies and documents repeatable architecture patterns and best practices between Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Works with development teams to plan, document, and implement solutions on Azure that fit into the long-term architecture strategy.
- Keeps abreast of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates vendor offerings to determine the best fit for business needs.
- Facilitates sessions to define requirements on POCs to ensure emerging technologies fit into the overall enterprise strategy– ability to research new emerging technologies, gather requirements, a d work with various infrastructure and business groups to facilitate solution architecture sessions.
- Proposes cloud solutions based on business and technology considerations, and suitable alternatives to satisfy customer needs.
- Performs evaluations of enterprise cloud technology standards, tools, products and solutions to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the group.
Required Skills –
- Large scale data center migration programs
- Architecture Review Board experience
- Experience deploying and operating on a public cloud framework
- Experience with cloud deployment, technical and security architecture, data architecture, virtualization, software design, software development, IP networking, Linux, Agile development, Scrum, application lifecycle management, .NET, programming languages, technical solution architecture, SOA, Windows, Azure
- Experience working with multiple teams to identify patterns and conceptual requirements for deployment of new tools
- Experience with various architecture types(Big compute, microservices, N-Tier)
- Microservice, APIM, ESB, Event Driven Architecture understanding
- TOGAF or similar Architecture framework understanding
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
