supporting the planning delivery and evaluationmeasurement of multiple USO programs that serve the needs of Americas service members and their families Principal Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties As directed by leadership research and respond to inquiries by external existing and prospective stakeholders interested in planning coordination implementation and management of assigned programs Identify trends perform needs assessments and make recommendations to modify andor enhance program delivery based on resultsField telephone calls and reply to emails related to assigned programs Provide information about assigned programsprojects to Field Operations staff military leadership and program partners as applicablePrepare track and organize program related correspondence and reports including inquiries templates thank you notes and rejection lettersSupport programevent management process for assigned programs and projects including but not limited to receiving program requests tracking program participant information coordinating and developing financial reports inventory tracking event logistics coordinating fulfillment of orders for program materials products and services and collection of program evaluations and metrics and development and coordination of grant and partner compliance reportsCompile program and service costsOther duties as assignedJob Specifications Bachelors Degree in business or related field1 3 years work experience in a program support role Relevant experience in a not for profit military multicultural andor global organization preferredWillingness to perform work in a non traditional work environment ie warehouse Strong interpersonal customer service and problem solving skills Ability to interact with USO Leadership the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism Ability to manage and influence external vendor relationshipsProficiency using computers and electronics equipment General knowledge of various software applications and programs including but not limited to event registration and customer relationship management software as well as Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency with Cvent andor Salesforce preferredDemonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial andor culturally sensitive subjects Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poiseMust show initiative self motivation and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needsAbility to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to perform basic math and follow proper cashdonation handling and reporting procedures Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security credit andor background screening SOFA status valid drivers licenseMust be a strong advocate of the USOs missionDetails This position is located in Arlington VA Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to
