DBA will be responsible for implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. They ensure the availability and consistent performance of various company applications through the support of the database server.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes
Monitor systems' health and performance
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
Assis developers with running scripts in environments where developers do not have access
Document new and existing database processes
Work on multiple development tasks during a work Sprint
Work on support tickets related to any data issue reported by either the manager or business
Work in a team environment collaborating with others and acting as SME
Attend daily SCRUM standup meetings, mandatory
Work in Jira, updating, moving stories to next status, updating tasks as necessary
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
Work in eastern time zone
5 years of experience working in a SQL environment as a DBA
5 years of experience of performance tuning as a DBA
5 years of experience in a support role managing data issues
5 years of managing database backups and recovery
Problem-solving skills
Knowledge in operating systems like Windows OS, SQL OS
Experience in one programming language
Experience in an integrated development environment
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATION
Managing Big Data with SQL a plus
