SQL Database Administrator-Responsible for performing MS SQL database migration activities at designated migration windows for MS SQL lifecycle project. Migration windows are typically scheduled after 7PM ET. Responsible for coordinate/schedule migration activity with application owners. Experienced in migrating MS SQL 2008r2 and MS SQL 2012 to MS SQL 2016 and MS SQL 2019. Must have ability to organize, plan, work on and keep track of multiple projects at the same time. Must be detail oriented.
Technical skills:Basic SQL database administration skills; Experience migrating SQL databases to higher version of MS SQL Server, specifically 2008r2 to higher versions.
Ability to identify all components required for a migration; Backups and restores, recovery models; Migrating Logins, understanding effect on databases users, fixing orphans; Migrating MS SQL Agent jobs; migrating linked servers, knowledge of how Linked Servers work; migrating SSRS and migrating SSIS.
Staff Aug to facilitate MS SQL version lifecycle. Resource will primarily be used to perform MS SQL database migration activities at designated migration windows.
