SQL Database Administrator

Requirements

Must have:

- Over 5 years of experience in the architecture, design, and management of large-scale RDBMS database systems - Solid background in supporting product/application teams for database administration - More than 3 years of practical experience in designing, implementing, and managing multi-node Redshift & Aurora Postgres database clusters on AWS - Extensive experience in database schema design, including the use of sort keys and distribution keys in Redshift, as well as indexing strategies in Aurora Postgres - Strong understanding of security concepts related to AWS databases (IAM roles, users, policies, temporary credentials, and security groups) - Proficient in bash scripting and utilizing source code management tools like GIT - Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban/Scrum) along with tools such as Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the architecture, design, and administration of large-scale RDBMS database systems - Provide support to product/application teams in database system management - Design, implement, and manage multi-node Redshift & Aurora Postgres clusters on AWS - Contribute to database schema design and optimize performance using sort keys, distribution keys, and indexing strategies - Ensure database security through effective management of IAM roles, users, and policies - Develop scripts using bash and manage source code using GIT - Collaborate in Agile teams, participating in Kanban/Scrum processes and utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence
