About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. SQL Lead Developer to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring local candidates to collaborate effectively both remotely and on-site.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced SQL expertise, including proficiency with complex queries, CTEs, joins, and text parsing, along with hands-on experience in building database objects such as tables, stored procedures, views, and Snowflake worksheets/notebooks. The role demands a strong background in data governance, data stewardship, and data quality management, with at least two years of relevant experience. As a key contributor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data solutions that support strategic initiatives, ensuring data integrity and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex query writing, CTEs, joins, and text parsing techniques.
• Experience in building and managing database objects such as tables, stored procedures, views, and Snowflake worksheets/notebooks.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or related roles focused on data quality and compliance.
• At least 4 years of experience as a data analyst or data engineer, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex data relationships and translate them into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and communicate progress effectively with stakeholders.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with healthcare or financial data, consulting within the healthcare industry, and familiarity with Snowflake cloud data platforms.
• Experience documenting data governance policies using tools like Atlassian Confluence or Notion.
• Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of ELT tools such as DBT and orchestration platforms like Airflow or Dagster is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects to support business needs.
• Implement and maintain data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance standards are met.
• Collaborate with data stewards and cross-functional teams to define data standards and best practices.
• Build and manage Snowflake worksheets/notebooks, ensuring efficient data processing and storage.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana to provide insights to stakeholders.
• Document data governance policies, procedures, and workflows using tools like Atlassian Confluence or Notion.
• Assist in the migration and integration of data platforms, particularly within cloud environments like Snowflake.
• Participate in data quality assessments, root cause analysis, and resolution activities to uphold data integrity.
• Support data orchestration and automation efforts using tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or similar platforms.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
