About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PLSQL Developer to join our dynamic team at Tata Consultancy Services. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database systems and applications using PL/SQL. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL development, Unix Shell Scripting, and a passion for creating high-quality, scalable, and responsive applications. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in PL/SQL development. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university is required. Proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting is mandatory, along with a solid understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience working on large-scale enterprise applications and familiarity with Agile methodologies will be considered an advantage. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to support business applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring database solutions meet organizational needs.
• Optimize and tune SQL queries and database objects for improved performance and efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing database systems, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Develop and execute Unix Shell Scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance system integration.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database schemas, procedures, and configurations.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database development and scripting.
• Assist in data migration, backup, and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and security.
