Phone and In-personThe position is part of an existing DBA team and will assist with ongoing support of the client's Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 (and higher) environments.
The DBA will design and build SQL Server-based enterprise solutions. The role will require broad experience in developing and performance tuning database backends for OLTP enterprise applications. Candidates must therefore demonstrate SQL Server expertise in data modeling, stored procedures, reporting services, replication, SSIS and SSAS, and other Microsoft Business Intelligence development.
Data modeling, design and optimization for new and existing functionality.
Extensive stored procedure development required
Following and evolving database coding standards
Ensure adequate database performance through tuning and optimization
Working with multiple application teams to support development efforts, advise on best practices, review and test change packages, and execute changes during releases
4+ years of deep technical experience in database environments in SQL Server 2008 or higher
Experience with current versions of SQL and deep understanding of current SQL technologies
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to express complex ideas simply
Experience in enterprise-class database development
Experience in all aspects of database design, stored procedure development, SSIS development, reporting services development and business intelligence development
Experience migrating applications to newer SQL environments
Experience with profiling tools and understanding of best practices
Experience with stored procedure optimization
Experience producing technical design documentation
