Requirements
Must have:
- We require hands-on experience designing database tables, relationships, and data models to support business needs.
- We need strong SQL Server development skills, including writing, tuning, and maintaining SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- We expect proven ability to troubleshoot database issues such as performance slowdowns, data consistency problems, and connection failures.
- We require experience handling routine database administration tasks, including backups, restores, indexing, and updates.
- We need experience with cloud-based SQL Server environments, such as Azure SQL Database, for deployment, scaling, and day-to-day management.
- We prefer familiarity with other database platforms, such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- We value experience working in Agile development environments.
- We expect the ability to create clear technical documentation for database structures, procedures, and resolution steps.
- A background in collaborating with application developers, business analysts, and IT teams is required.
Responsibilities:
- We design and implement database schemas, table structures, relationships, and data models aligned with business requirements.
- We develop, optimize, and support SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data processing and reporting.
- We investigate and resolve database-related incidents, including performance issues, data integrity concerns, and connectivity errors.
- We carry out scheduled maintenance activities such as backups, restores, indexing, and system updates to keep databases reliable and efficient.
- We work with cloud SQL Server platforms, including Azure SQL Database, to support deployment, scaling, and administration.
- We document data structures, technical processes, and troubleshooting procedures to support ongoing operations.
- We partner closely with application developers, business analysts, and IT stakeholders to deliver stable database solutions.
