Title: Sr. Java Developer

Job Description

• Responsible for coding performance test scripts in Core Java, develop and maintain Unix shell and Python based framework
• Develop custom tooling, creating mock services and maintenance of the tool repository
• Gather and analyze performance requirements in collaboration with project owners and stakeholders
• Support in writing performance test plans, executing performance tests, monitor application behavior, analyze and identify code-level performance bottlenecks.
• Identify and collect key system performance metrics
• Address client-side and server-side performance issues and recommend performance and resiliency enhancements and tuning
• Support in providing solutions for production monitoring
• Understand the complex code base quickly and be able to work within ambiguous design constraints.
• Develop deeper understanding of architecture to identify unique solutions to provide the best client experience in a scalable way
• Work with the Performance QA team on test runs to stress the capabilities of the system and identify bottlenecks at the code level

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.

-14 plus experience

• 5 Years of Java, J2EE(client and server side) , Spring framework, Spring Boot and Spring cloud development experience.
• 5 Years of Experience with distributed systems/software, real time processing, relational database systems, messaging systems
• Linux background with experience in shell scripting
• Strong experience with concurrency & multi-threading
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience with troubleshooting/diagnosing JVM issues (e.g. thread dumps, garbage collection and memory management)
• Experience with resiliency implementations - CircuitBreakers, Shapers, LoadBalancers & Failover
• Experience with Java-based, high-throughput, low-latency, real-time systems
• Good experience in using Splunk, Grafana (or other monitoring tools)
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving/decision making skills
• Have knowledge of professional software engineering practices, best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Highly motivated, self-starting individual who can take effective independent decisions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Provides analysis of problems, evaluate alternatives, and provides solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Financial Services industry is strongly preferred
• Experience with trading platforms is a big plus
• DevOps and build automation experience
• Experience working with cloud computing platforms, including AWS and Google Cloud
