Job Description: What is the role? We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of our cloud-native data and analytics platform within the Cloud Delivery & Insights organization. This role will focus on designing and delivering modern data solutions leveraging Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud-native technologies.
As a Principal Engineer, this individual will act as a technical leader and force multiplier, driving architectural standards, influencing cross-team decisions, and enabling our AI-first and data-driven strategy. What will you be doing? Lead architecture and design of scalable native applications in Snowflake, Databricks, and other marketplaces Drive best practices for performance, cost optimization, and reliability Partner with product, data, and platform teams to deliver business-critical solutions Enable AI/ML and advanced analytics through high-quality, accessible data systems Establish engineering standards, design patterns, and governance practices Mentor engineers and conduct architecture/design reviews Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, observability, and incident response Influence technical roadmap and long-term platform strategy What credentials/education do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on data platforms or data engineering Strong expertise in Snowflake, Databricks/Apache Spark, Python, and SQL Experience with cloud platforms Proven experience designing and operating large-scale, production systems Are you the right fit?
