Sr. Python Developer - Test Engineering

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with 7+ years of experience in software development and test engineering. The ideal candidate has strong Python 3.x skills, object-oriented design expertise, and experience developing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications, backend services, and REST APIs.
• Apply object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
• Implement input validation, error handling, and reliable service functionality.
• Write and maintain unit tests using pytest, including mocking and test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve software quality.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software development and/or test engineering.
• Strong Python 3.x fundamentals, including type hints, typing, and static type-checking practices such as mypy.
• Proficiency in OOP, design patterns, clean abstractions, and SOLID principles.
• Experience developing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of validation, error handling, and unit testing with pytest.
• Experience with mocking, debugging, and conducting code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud or service deployment, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with asynchronous Python programming using asyncio.
