Venture backed startup that provides data intelligence mapping software to commercial and intelligence clients is bringing on a Staff DevOps/Platform Engineer in Alexandria, Virginia (hybrid).
This person will own and secure cloud native infrastructure that powers core platforms and work across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, container orchestration, and security automation to ensure platform reliability and scalability.
This is a key leadership role with collaboration with software, data, security and executive teams driving new initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience operating cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS and open to GCP and/or Azure
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, Helm, etc,)
- Hands on background building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc,)
- Understanding of container/image hardening and vulnerability management
- Experience with distributed systems and automating workflows
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with scripting languages like: Typescript, Go, Python, Node.
JS. or similar
- Experience with multi cloud networking and container hardening
- Kubernetes or AWS architect certifications
- Master's in computer science or a related field
