Requirements
Must have:
- 5-10 years of experience in a testing engineering position.
- Minimum of 3 years in test engineering specifically within electrification, encompassing high voltage batteries, drive units, traction motors, or power inverters/converters.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering is essential.
- Background in a testing facility, preferably within the automotive sector.
- Proficient in Ongoing Reliability Testing, Highly Accelerated Stress Screening, and various types of failure mechanisms.
- Familiarity with reliability statistics, including Weibull Analysis.
- Competence in using statistical software for reliability analysis, such as JMP or the ReliaSoft suite.
- Advanced knowledge of the physics of failure.
- Deep understanding and practical application of root cause analysis techniques.
- Skill in establishing reliability requirements and developing test programs.
- Experience in designing custom test fixtures and formulating testing plans.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
- Expertise in facilitating FMEAs and guiding interdisciplinary teams.
- Profound knowledge of reliability concepts and the ability to use data analysis to inform priorities.
- Practical knowledge of failure analysis techniques and equipment, including optical microscopy, SEM, CT, X-Ray, and EDS.

Responsibilities:
- Investigate and implement testing strategies for vehicles, components, modules, and systems to proactively identify quality and reliability concerns during mass production through various testing methods.
- Create test methodologies and procure necessary equipment for execution.
- Establish procedures for post-test teardown analysis and secure relevant tooling and equipment.
- Compile summary reports to convey test and teardown analysis results effectively.
- Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, systems, design, and process engineering teams to uphold manufacturing quality and reliability, while proposing improvements to processes and designs.
- Evaluate manufacturing alterations and associated risks, formulating appropriate test plans for validation.
- Strategically prioritize issues identified during reliability testing.
- Take ownership of escalation processes and root cause analysis for test failures.
- Support the development of a monitoring system for continuous assessment of test articles and reporting of outcomes.
- Assist in creating reporting systems for test outcomes and ongoing program status updates for management review.
- Maintain a feedback loop with the field reliability team to ensure that field issues are integrated into the manufacturing reliability process.
- Transfer reliability risks from design through DFMEA to process PFMEA and control plans.
