Shift:8x5 Evening / 10:30 pm to 7am /40 hours weekly
Cleans, decontaminates, and sterilizes instruments, supplies and equipment according to prescribed procedures and techniques.
Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles complex equipment.
Identifies, dates and stores cleaned, sterilized items.
Interprets detailed technical instructions on equipment operation.
Assembles instrument procedural cassettes for use in procedural and operating rooms by following all manufacturer's instructions for use (IFU's)
Maintains, decontaminates, and processes transfer carts and work environment including work surfaces and mechanical equipment.
Utilizes continuous quality improvement techniques during the reprocessing of materials before distribution to user areas.
Creates, maintains, and updates manufacturer's Instructions for Use (IFU) manuals. Maintains and updates other clinical manuals and as assigned by supervisor.
Responds to emergency requests for supplies and instruments.
Completes document for replacing safety and emergency stock.
Assists in locating site-specific instrumentation.
Sorts and separates instruments returning site-specific instruments to the proper site.
