As An NGI Senior Structural Analysis Engineer You Will
Perform static stress analysis on missile and spacecraft flight hardware
Generate stress analysis technical memorandums and reports to support data packages, peer reviews, and external customer reviews
Perform stress analysis on metallic and composite materials, including sizing of detail parts and assessing the strength of primary and secondary structures and systems
Support static structural test definition, requirements, monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis while understanding and incorporating other applicable mechanical (thermal, dynamic, materials, etc…) and system level requirements/parameters into the stress analyses
Present analysis and test results at program reviews such as Design Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, Engineering Review Boards, and Test Readiness Reviews
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Structural Mechanics program or equivalent from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years structural analysis experience
Understanding of missile and/or spacecraft structures, statics, strength of materials, principles and methods
Proficiency with free-body diagrams, classical hand calculations, Finite Element Modeling, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) pre- and post-processing
Proficiency with structural analysis of composite structures, metallic structures, and mechanisms
Experience in the planning and execution of structural tests for aerospace flight hardware
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, loads and dynamics, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment
Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
