The Electronic Design Automation Cloud (EDACloud) Operations team plays a big role in the smooth operation of the service, from defining processes for managing incidents to developing automation to ensure upgrades are rolled out safely and slowly. They build out monitoring for internal use as well as for our users to understand the state of the service, and quickly debug when there are issues. They set up and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code, allowing them to manage the massive infrastructure in an auditable, predictable way.
They automate processes to enable users to safely do tasks that are otherwise too risky to hand to users. They help debug and either fix or pass to a development team issues raised by users.
