Systems Administrator - Linux, Windows

Requirements

Must have:

- Active Top Secret clearance is required for consideration - DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+) or must be obtained within 60 days of hire - Proficient in Linux (Red Hat) system administration, including virtualization fundamentals - Familiar with multi-OS environments (Linux, AIX, Windows), network architecture, and maintenance of COTS software - Strong communication skills and professionalism in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities:

- Monitor system performance, analyze logs for errors, and address any issues affecting operational performance - Conduct system backups, file restorations, OS/software patching (Linux, AIX, Windows, COTS), and optimize configurations - Create and debug shell scripts to automate regular tasks - Manage user accounts, software licenses, certificates, and maintain system documentation - Assist with software updates, system upgrades, capacity planning, and team training initiatives (OJT/informal) - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve intricate system challenges
