Systems Administrator/Tools Engineer

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications - Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance - CCNA or CCNP certification preferred

Responsibilities:

- Mentor junior engineers and analysts within the network tools team - Support the objectives set by the Tools Team Lead - Review threshold and performance monitoring to enhance the reporting of metrics for trend analysis and capacity planning - Recommend enhancements to tools to improve threat detection and resolution capabilities - Optimize the existing suite of tools used for managing NIH networks - Provide detailed recommendations for augmenting and consolidating tools to maximize functionality and ROI - Test and implement vendor upgrades and patches while ensuring compliance with security requirements - Contribute domain knowledge to the System Accreditation and Authorization documentation - Conduct peer reviews of deliverables from junior engineers and analysts
