• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with systems automation, and with systems design and implementation.
• 3 years of experience with technical infrastructure (e.g., deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting).
• Experience with diagnostics and network diagnostics.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience working with vendors or customers.
• Experience with Go or Python.
• Experience with reliability engineering.

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) provides Google-managed hardware, including AI, security, and open source software, at the customer's place of business. GDC's Operation Support team provides front-line, 24/7, 5-minute response troubleshooting and problem solving. We also handle alerts raised by automated monitoring and customer issues escalated by the Cloud Support team. When we need help, we're backed by a worldwide Site Reliability Engineering organization and domain-expert rotations.

Salary: US: $138,000 - $198,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call activities and manage the systems within the domain and work with the primary responders to help fix system issues.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, evaluate technical data, and develop recommendations for systems and services within the domain, respond to tickets/bugs within team-defined Service-level Objectives (SLOs), and contribute to systems and services in related domains through bug reports and consultation.
• Work with customers on defining distributed systems requirements, testing procedures and proposing solutions.
