Requirements
Must have:
- 9+ years of experience in applications design, development, and programming using C language, UNIX/LINUX, SQL, job scripts/streams, and IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) - 2+ years in a technical leadership position - Proficient in documenting and executing unit test cases - Background in system design, development, maintenance, and modification - Experience with healthcare IT (Financial) systems is advantageous - Strong consulting background, capable of transitioning into a Technical Functional Application Lead role - Proven change leadership skills, with a focus on driving process improvements and code enhancements - Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including developers, clients, support teams, and senior management - Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to foster high-performance teams
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical teams and workstreams as a Technical Functional Area Lead (TFAL) while designing, developing, testing, and implementing complex applications - Maintain clear communication among team members by managing relationships between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements translate into adaptable, reusable system components - Enhance client satisfaction by crafting detailed design, coding, and testing documentation that produces custom technical solutions addressing real needs - Act as a subject matter expert in application development, domain knowledge, application design, and database best practices - Provide technical consultations for clients on complex projects, focusing on refining existing applications and designing new modules and components - Mentor and support less experienced application designers - Analyze customer requirements and product specifications to create a cohesive technical content strategy and plan - Code, build, compile, and test online systems, providing feedback on user experience and interfaces to product development - Advocate for customers by helping to define and refine product specifications - Collaborate across functional areas as part of the development team - Utilize independent judgment within established practices to determine appropriate actions - Contribute insights and analyses while providing limited project direction
