Technical Lead - Software Engineering

Requirements

Must have:

- Strong AI expertise with contemporary coding and prototyping tools.

• Proficient in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or Go, with a capability to work in others.
• Familiarity with at least one frontend framework like React or Streamlit.
• Experience in database technologies and query languages, particularly SQL.
• Understanding of cloud-based application architecture.
• Knowledge of AI/ML tools and infrastructure, including MLOps.
• Proven experience in deployment and productization.
• Competence in high-pressure, time-sensitive settings with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Demonstrated aptitude to rapidly acquire new technological skills.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product innovation.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, possessing strong communication skills.
• Preferred background in media technology or digital cinema.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Unity and/or Unreal, React, AR/VR technologies, database management, and development and deployment of AI/ML models (preferred).
• Contributions to industry or academic publications or conferences are a plus (preferred).

Responsibilities:

- Assess and choose technologies that support specified use cases and user demographics.

• Design and document technical solutions, including system diagrams, integration points, licensing requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure alignment of solutions with internal systems and content protection protocols.
• Preserve and enhance a technical roadmap throughout proof-of-concept, prototype, and pilot stages.
• Conduct code evaluations, suggest alternative solutions, and resolve issues.
• Simplify complex technical ideas into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences.
• Stay abreast of advancing technologies and identify potential for their adoption.
• Facilitate automated build, testing, deployment, and continuous integration workflows.
• Offer guidance and technical oversight to team members, while also contributing hands-on as needed.
• Present and advocate for proofs-of-concept to internal stakeholders with a clear articulation of value.
