The Programming & Faculty Management Manager plays a central role in bringing The Writing Barn’s virtual programs to life. This role exists to ensure our courses, events, and faculty partnerships are thoughtfully planned, well-supported, and executed with excellence from start to finish.

Blending program management, faculty relations, and operations, this role works closely with leadership to maintain our annual programming calendar, onboard and support faculty, manage logistics, and uphold the quality and care our community expects. The ideal candidate is operationally strong and creatively engaged, with a deep respect for writers, educators, and the literary life.

  • *ResponsibilitiesProgramming & Planning
  • Plan and maintain the annual virtual programming calendar in collaboration with leadership
  • Coordinate course and event timelines, launches, and logistics
  • Provide hands-on operational support during live programs and events
  • *Faculty Management
  • Identify, invite, and onboard faculty, agents, and editors
  • Draft, manage, and track MOUs and faculty agreements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty
  • Resolve issues and maintain positive, professional relationships
  • Staff and coordinate teaching assistants
  • Facilitate faculty meetings and provide light event moderation as needed
  • *Operations & Systems
  • Write and maintain course and event descriptions
  • Upload and manage programming on the website and learning platforms
  • Create payment links and update internal systems
  • Manage scheduling tools (Calendly or similar)
  • Track submissions, registrations, attendance, and materials
  • Maintain up-to-date faculty, agent, and editor bios
  • Manage workflows using ClickUp and Google Suite
  • *Finance & Quality
  • Communicate faculty payment terms and timelines to Finance
  • Track contracts and ensure timely processing
  • Review marketing materials for alignment with course offerings
  • Analyze participant surveys and feedback to improve programming
  • Support light content creation or editing for literary life and craft sessions as needed
  • *Requirements
  • *Required
  • 3–5+ years experience in program management, operations, or faculty/partner management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience with creating training materials and content highly desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and timelines
  • Proficiency with ClickUp (or similar tools) and Google Suite
  • Reliable internet and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • *Preferred
  • Publishing, literary, or writing background, arts education/non-profit, or online business coaching.
  • Experience working with educators, authors, or creative professionals
  • Virtual program or event coordination experience
  • Comfort with light content creation or editing

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
