- We need strong C/C++ skills for high-performance systems software on Linux and/or Windows, including the ability to architect, review, and troubleshoot complex code.
We expect hands-on use of AI coding assistants or agents as a core part of day-to-day engineering, or a strong willingness to adopt them quickly.
We look for solid understanding of hardware/software interfaces such as registers, memory maps, interrupts, and subsystem protocols.
We value experience in functional modeling, architecture simulation, virtual platforms, or hypervisor development, or closely related work in pre-silicon verification/emulation, firmware or BIOS bring-up, embedded systems, QEMU or hypervisor environments, or GPU/driver development.
We prefer familiarity with x86, ARM, or GPU architecture, drivers, and applications.
We prefer experience with SystemC/TLM-2.0, QEMU, Simics, GEM5, or Virtualizer.
We prefer Linux and/or Windows kernel debugging experience.
We value multithreaded programming and synchronization primitives such as mutexes, atomics, condition variables, and lock-free structures, along with awareness of common concurrency pitfalls.
We prefer a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities:
- We architect and build high-performance C++ functional models of AMD SoCs, IP blocks, and platforms, using AI coding tools to implement and validate them.
We enable firmware, OS, driver, and validation teams to develop and debug against our models months before silicon is available.
We improve the functionality, stability, and performance of existing models, supported by tests that confirm correctness.
We work with architecture teams to interpret specifications and model next-generation designs.
We debug internal and customer workloads running on the models.
We advance our simulation framework, debugging tools, and the teams use of AI across the modeling workflow.
