As a Web Developer, your responsibilities include:
Implement easy-to-use and compelling scientific data visualizations
Develop functionality and make additional code changes based on specifications
Design and help manage the implementation of web application UI in cooperation with customer stakeholders and the development team
Ability to profile, measure, and reduce latency on web applications
Review functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirementsSupport technology planning, engineering, architecture, protocol analysis, and development of technical standards and interface applications, particularly as they impact usability in the front-end.
Provide technical write-ups and drawings to promote the proposed solutions
Review the Sprint tasks with Client's team, manage sprint scope, commit to completing sprint tasks, and deliver on those commitments
Collaborate with the other engineering team members to ensure all services are reliable, maintainable, and well-integrated into existing platforms
Adhere to best practices for testing and designing reusable code
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8 yrs experience with HTML/CSS3, JavaScript (ExtJS/Sencha, D3) and UI/UX design
Experience working with microservice-based solutions which consume RESTFul API's and JSON data
Familiarity with the Swagger API specification framework
Experience design and development of scientific visualizations
Experience managing source using git and modern DevOps continuous integration and deployment tools, preferably using gitlab
Experience working with SAML, SSO and Okta
Experience implementing interactive scientific visualization-based tools
