Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases is expected. Familiarity with container-based development (Docker and Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
The Web Developer is part of the Information Technology Team with responsibilities that include design, programming, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of websites and web applications. The position also provides support and training to internal and external content managers and application users.
You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks
- Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, Nuxt, Vue.js, and TypeScript.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and support server-side functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code that follows established standards.
- Work from design documents, issue-tracking tickets, and verbal direction to develop and upgrade applications.
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to implement new features.
- Migrate legacy systems to modern technologies.
- Implement responsive design using component-based UI frameworks and Tailwind CSS.
- Interact with PostgreSQL and other SQL-based databases.
- Performance Metrics:
- Deliver work productively and meet project deadlines.
- Produce well-written, understandable, bug-free code that follows team standards.
- Collaborate openly with the development team in a productive and positive manner.
- Respond to questions, inquiries, and tickets in a timely and service-oriented manner.
- Keep IT management informed of project status, issues, and general plans.
- Bachelor's degree in web development, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- 3 years of professional experience in web development.
- Proficiency in Vue.js / Nuxt and Node.js, with demonstrated experience building production-grade web applications.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and RESTful API design.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database.
- Ability to ramp up independently in an unfamiliar codebase and take full ownership of assigned applications including analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation, and maintenance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team including developers, content managers, and designers.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365, preferred.
- Stay current with web development trends and emerging technologies
- Actively incorporate AI tools and assistants into your development workflow to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving.
Physical Requirements
Able to work 40 hours per week as the normal workweek. Work as needed on weekends and holidays. Stand and sit for extended periods during working hours.
