Web Developer (Partner/Contract)

BareBits is a product which makes it easy for online and in-person merchants to accept Bitcoin payments, and we are seeking a talented web developer to help us spread the message: Bitcoin is a public utility that will save you money and give you more freedom.

Hours: Approximately 2-4 hours per week, will scale with time.

Payment: On a per-project basis

Term: Contract with the potential to convert to Partnership

We also have some other programming tasks (Python, C#) we would like help with, this is a role you could fill or we may find somebody else for this role depending on what kind of applicants we receive. Alternatively, we are looking for someone with a strong marketing background to help grow our business.

Minimum requirements

• Experience in web development (HTML/CSS/JS), working knowledge of templating and development environments (react, jekyll, etc)
• Knowledge of how to use tools like Google Analytics to monitor trends, do A/B testing, and optimize all website content
• Knowledge of how to use cloudflare or other technologies to speed up site delivery
• The ability to optimize our sites for SEO, speed, and sharing on social networks
• References
• Able to direct their own work and meet deadlines
• *What makes you stand out:
• Experience connecting web presence to sales pipeline software (CRMs) for full monitoring/integration
• Python or C# development experience
• Experience with email marketing
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm about Bitcoin and open source software
• Experience developing for BTCPay Server or Bitcart
• Located in or near Eugene, OR, though we are open to applicants from all locations

Pay: $25.13 - $35.08 per hour
