This position may be based in various central and eastern USA locations The Future Connectivity Solutions (FCS) is an engineering arm of Future Electronics’ Advanced Engineering Group focused on assisting customer engineers design in wireless solutions across a wide range of applications. One of the main thrusts of technology focus is Wireless technology and circuitry.
The Specialist Advanced
Engineer (AE) Wireless role will provide comprehensive technical support for customer’s RF hardware selection including radio chipsets, integration of wireless modules, firmware, antenna integration, schematic reviews and pre-certified testing. There will be an emphasis on supporting all aspects of the design where a customer engineer needs assistance in moving their design forward. You will be involved with the FCS Regional Sales Manager(s) in the development and discussion with customer to formulate a plan to support all phases of the aforementioned task supported.
Responsibilities Provide support on early system solution consultation to end customers providing wireless radio and associated technology selection, design guidance and troubleshooting/issues to provide resolutions throughout the customer’s design & development phases.
Implement and debug firmware used in implementation of wireless communication in embedded systems
Demonstrate and grow expertise in existing and new wireless protocols and standards (WiFi, Bluetooth, LoRA, Matter, etc)
Support FCS team field sales, engineering and marketing, Wireless circuit schematic/layout review, and design/simulation/testing.
Work with FCS Marketing and Sales on webinars & NPIs on wireless products.
Support Future Design Center teams in the wireless design for supplier’s / customer’s board to meet customer’s requirements.
Qualifications and Experience BSEE/BS Engineering required
2-5 years of extensive wireless design experience including experience with the following engineering skills:
- Wireless hardware design
- Wireless stack firmware implementation
- Antenna integration knowledge
- Wireless Certification design requirements
- Schematic reviews
Communication Skills
Possess a proven ability to effectively communicate with customers through verbal, written and presentation skills.
Organizational Skills
Possesses a strong ability to prioritize tasks in order to maximize productivity and performance. Adherence to deadlines and commitments is critical.
Leadership Skills The Specialist AE is responsible for driving many diverse programs with the sales team, customers, and suppliers. Therefore, the ability to motivate others is a critical skill set.
