About The Role

We are seeking a motivated WordPress Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about web development to gain practical, hands-on experience working on enterprise-level projects. As a WordPress Developer Intern, you will collaborate with experienced developers to build, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites, contributing to projects for well-known brands across industries such as sports, eCommerce, transportation, and food & beverage.

The role emphasizes learning modern web technologies, developing custom themes and plugins, and supporting integrations with third-party services. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to grow their skills in a collaborative environment while making meaningful contributions to real-world projects.

Qualifications

Applicants should be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field. Basic experience with web development, whether through coursework or personal projects, is essential. A foundational understanding of PHP and a keen interest in learning WordPress development are highly desirable.

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is important, along with an interest in Content Management Systems, particularly WordPress. Candidates should demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within a team, and possess a proactive attitude toward professional growth. Additional skills such as experience with WordPress theme or plugin customization, knowledge of REST APIs, familiarity with Gutenberg block editor, and understanding of modern development tools or architectures are considered advantageous but are not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior developers to translate project requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to development workflows, including version control, continuous integration, and deployment processes.
