Aariyana Jones

’m a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, and throughout my experience I’ve developed strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. I’ve worked in an administrative role at a university where I supported department leadership, communicated with students and faculty, and helped with different administrative and event related tasks. I’m also currently working in customer service, which has strengthened my ability to work in a fast paced environment, handle different types of customers, and solve problems professionally.

I’m now looking for an opportunity where I can take those skills into a professional environment, continue learning, and grow into more responsibility.

Cashier at Cajun Wild Crab (2022-05 – 2024-07)

I was a cashier at Cajun Wild Crab every summer for the past two years, a local seafood restaurant in Valdosta, GA. My responsibilities included:

• Problem solving when customers have issues with their orders
• Managing the amount of cash payments as well as managing the cash drawer making sure it stays the right amount each day
• Maintained the quality of the restaurant with the cleaning side work I completed each night

Administrative Assistant at Bethune-Cookman University (2023-01 – 2026-05)

I've completed various tasks for the Assistant Dean and Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities. These tasks include:

• Scanning documents into PDF files
• Attending events and speaking on behalf of the department
• Directing students throughout the building
• Sending emails, answering phone calls, and sorting mail
• Participated in several projects under the Communications department such as our Academic Showcase, showcasing research done by myself from the department and its students
• Participated in our Accepted Students Day and Majors and Minors fair providing information to rising freshman and transfer students on behalf of the communications department

6th Grade Math Tutor at Ignite Fellowship (2026-01 – 2026-04)

For my graduation requirements I am obligated to complete 240 internship hours. Teachers for America is an Organization dedicated to support low-income community children in their education. Within their fellowship I:

• Foster a relationship with 6th grade students mentoring them
• Prepare them for their state testing within tutoring sessions
