I completed my clinical rotation at Carl T. Hayden VA medical center in Phoenix through ASU Edson College of Nursing. I was paired with a different nurse each week in nearly every unit of the hospital.
I learned nursing skills including medication administration, assessments, and clinical reasoning. I also worked with my assigned nurses to admit and discharge patients, along with giving and receiving hand-off reports. I spent my entire final semester in the emergency department at the VA learning more about emergency medicine, and working in a fast paced environment.
By the end of the rotation, I was handling three patients at a time on my own, completing their admission, assessments, charting, care, and eventually discharge.

CNA at Sun West Choice Healthcare and Rehab / Lake Pleasant Post Acute Rehabilitation (2024-05 – 2025-11)
At Sun West Choice Healthcare and Rehab as well as Lake Pleasant Post Acute Rehabilitation, I worked as a CNA in the long term and skilled nursing halls caring for patients. I assist in patients' ADL's such as eating, toileting, and hygiene, as well as providing incontinent care for patients who require it. I have experience with electronic charting systems such as PointClickCare. I also helped with training new CNAs after they were hired.
Shift Leader at Salad and Go (2021-08 – 2023-02)
At Salad and Go, I was employed as a shift lead and had been in a management position from May of 2022-February 2023. My responsibilities included delegating tasks, making food, taking orders, and resolving issues with customers. Over the course of this job, I developed my leadership and managerial skills, built my customer service skills, learned how to work with money and how to operate a register.
Courtesy Clerk at Fry's Food Stores (2020-11 – 2021-04)
At Fry's Food Stores, I worked the front end as a Courtesy Clerk. My primary responsibilities included bagging groceries, collecting shopping carts, putting back unwanted merchandise, and cleaning. I also helped stockers with merchandise. I often assisted customers around the store which helped to develop my customer service skills. I was frequently commended for my work by managers, and was regarded as an exceptional employee.
Leadership In High School at Mountain Ridge High School (2016-08 – 2022-05)
In high school I led small groups in multiple contexts and mentored peers in band and in the Phoenix Youth Symphony. I was also a part of the leadership team for the award winning marching band at MRHS.

I have helped set up and volunteered at multiple large marching band competitions and festivals as a leader in the MRHS band. I helped with fundraising events and community service events including business grand opening performances with the MRHS Drumline. I have also packed food for Feed My Starving Children and performed with the Phoenix Youth Symphony for 4 years at regular and community service concert events.
