Abigail Short

I am currently a recent graduate from the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Graphic Design. Looking for full-time employment opportunities!

I've always found design interesting—pretty much everything around us (besides nature) was designed by someone. We don't always notice it, but design plays a huge role in how we live, think, and move through the world. Without it, things would feel pretty dull and directionless.

As a recent graduate, while I did not complete a formal internship, I gained valuable professional experience by working part-time at the women's athleisure brand Athleta, throughout my education where I developed strong visual merchandising and organizational skills. In addition, I completed an independent study under the guidance of a professor, which provided opportunities to engage in occasional professional work and apply my skills in real-world contexts.

I recently graduated from the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Graphic Design. My academic experience closely reflected a professional environment, with most projects being independently driven and shaped through feedback from peers and professors. This experience strengthened my ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines, and thoughtfully incorporate critique.
