About

Newly graduated alum from Texas A&M University- San Antonio with a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice as well as a minor in sociology. Through my time as a full time on campus involved student, as well as holding a full time job for three years, I have learned valuable characteristics that have greatly impacted how I've managed to balance many tasks. Throughout this period, I've learned to work both independently and collaboratively, as well as to take the initiative and solve difficulties.

Working in a varied environment is a comfortable experience as well. I am eager and determined to take the next step in my career gaining knowledge and experience.

Experience

Sales Associate - The Home Depot - San Antonio, TX

Began as overnight recovery for the lumber department for about seven months then switched to morning opening shift (Feb-August) due to classes interfering with my overnight schedule.
Overnight recovery focused on keeping the perimeter of the building clean, accessible, and making sure all product delivered was able to make it inside and be restocked in a timely proper manner on a forklift.
Also responsible for correctly counting, tagging, and printing each product in order to properly stock it in the overheads.
Typically each night varied depending on the type of truck arriving, some nights would be a drywall, mud, concrete, pressure treated, plywood, or whitewood trucks. On occasional nights, the variety of trucks would deliver products the same night and it was my responsibility to correctly work each truck accordingly in a timely manner.
Present- Currently hold the opening lumber associate position.
Every morning arriving at six, I begin with making my rounds around the department checking for any possible safety hazards for customers such as trash, debris, and banding from wood bunks.
It is my responsibility to complete the store readiness checklist every morning (SRC) in order to provide any safety feedback to leadership in the building if there are any hazards to be reported.
I am then responsible to operate the reach truck in order to remove deadman pallets placed in front of the store from the night before so that the product outside may be shopped.
My duties throughout the day include, providing utmost customer service for all customers and helping to the best of my abilities, as well as fulfilling orders from our pro customers such as concrete pallets, plywood, and drywall.
