Adrienne Wallace

I have a passion for teaching and mentoring students. I am a high school computer science teacher. I am responsible for instructing students in various technology-related subjects, such as computer science, network technology, website development, cybersecurity, and emerging digital trends. I develop lesson plans, facilitate hands-on projects, deliver group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines, and collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues. I respond to various inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.

I teach at Tara High School in Baton Rouge, LA, where I have taught for the past 4 years. I use various innovative technology-rich teaching techniques to increase student engagement and encourage students’ critical thinking and problem-solving. I teach students how to build websites with animations using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript computer programming languages. I encourage classroom discussions, collaborative activities, demonstrations, skill-building activities, peer evaluation, and project time. I also teach students in video recording, editing, television/film production, and stage lighting and sound.

I have a master's degree in Information Technology and am working towards my doctorate in Education Technology.
