Clinical Volunteer at Medical City Frisco (2025-05 – Present)

I volunteer at the medsurg patient floor assisting patients with transport, mobility, food, cleaning, and other care-related tasks. I assist nurses and staff with creating patient charts, answering phone calls, transporting medical supplies/devices, greeting patients and guests, and additional clerical work.

• Accompanied DO hospitalist on inpatient rounds at a cardiology specialized hospital, following cases including heart failure, arrhythmia, and post-procedure monitoring.
• Examined osteopathic whole-person care applied in acute settings, including how social and behavioral factors were integrated alongside clinical findings.
• Observed multidisciplinary communication during high-stakes admissions and discharge planning.

Shadowing at Village Health Partners (2025-01 – 2025-01)

I shadowed a nephrologist full-time for one week at a clinic and hospital. I gained insight into medical practices and the understood the importance of long-term healthcare and chronic illness treatment.

Research Volunteer at PLANO MEDICAL CENTER (2024-06 – 2024-08)

I volunteered at the HCA Research Department at Plano Medical City. I assisted the research department with consolidating files and reorganizing spaces, created a presentation on a medical catheter to be showcased to the health board as a potential medical device for clinical use, and observed interventional radiology - experienced non-invasive surgery using stents and catheters, and I viewed angiograms and vitals.

I learned and practiced fundamental skills during my time at Chick-Fil-A. I became better at multitasking and quick-thinking because of the fast-paced environment. I also gained valuable communication skills with my teammates and employer while also stepping into leadership positions when necessary.

Volunteer at PLANO MEDICAL CENTER (2018-06 – 2018-08)

I volunteered at Plano Medical Center during the summer before my high school freshman year in order to gain experience in dealing with patients and staff at a hospital. Tasks included preparing care packages for patients, directing patients to their desired locations, delivering supplies to medical assistants and staff, and collaborating with other volunteers. I had 80+ hours of experience.
