Aftyn DeWit

I am a current SDSU/UMN student finishing my second year of veterinary school. The next two years will be spent at the UMN CVM beginning June 2026. I have a strong interest in small animal medicine and am looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and get work in the field.

I have experience working in 4 different small animal general practice clinics as a kennel technician and veterinary assistant. I have also spent a summer at an equine surgery and repro referral clinic. I spent 3 years during my undergraduate degree working on the SDSU ADRDL necropsy floor, directly working with board-certified veterinary pathologists.

I have completed two Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Microbiology, followed by acceptance into the SDSU/UMN PPVM Class of 2028. In May I will complete my Master's in Veterinary Sciences and in June moving to Minneapolis for school.
