My passion for programming originated during my time spent as a refugee in Tunisia after I fled from Libya, where my family and I lived for 18 years.
Revolution began after my first year of college, where I was studying to become an Architect Engineer. The situation in Libya became unsafe and my family and I were forced to flee, escaping by car as the airports were shut down. My experience in Tunisia was difficult; I only had access to an old laptop and the internet, but I could not work or go to school, so I took to learning HTML, CSS, and JS and used my new skills to begin developing websites.
In 2014, the United States allowed my family and I to seek refuge on U.S. soil and start a new life. Like many other young refugees in America, I needed to earn an American high school diploma to pursue higher education. I eventually completed high school and moved on to pursue classes at a community college while working to help support my family. During this time, I successfully completed the Cleveland Code Bootcamp, and received MTA certification from Microsoft.
The knowledge and experience I acquired over these several years culminated in my acceptance at Baldwin Wallace University.
