I have been working with IDEA public schools since Aug. 2024. I am currently a Co teacher in the RISE unit, which is working with the students that have special needs. I collaborated with two teachers in the RISE unit to create a safe and educative space for the scholars.
I was able to manage a classroom of behaviors and follow the safety plan for each scholar in helping them de-escalate their behavior. I also was able to make accommodations to work that the scholars were working on to help them achieve their goals. I also became an RBT through IDEA and have been helping them with some of our AU scholars in our classrooms and having a small log for the scholars.
