My background combines a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, formal data analytics training, and extensive experience analyzing complex records, monitoring fiscal information, improving administrative processes, and working within regulatory and public-sector environments. I have built my career around finding accurate answers to complex information, identifying problems before they become larger issues, and developing organized solutions that help teams make informed decisions. I am confident that this combination of analytical ability, fiscal experience, technical knowledge, and attention to detail would allow me to make a meaningful contribution to the Legal Operations Branch.
Program Assistant - YMCA Central Bay Area Head Start program
I supported budget monitoring and reconciliation activities for a multi-million-dollar state and federally funded program. This experience gave me a practical understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate financial information, following established procedures, documenting findings, and ensuring that public and grant-funded resources are properly accounted for.
Faced with an eight-month backlog, I helped complete the work in approximately three and a half months while contributing to the recovery of $1.1 million in previously uncollected revenue. More than simply processing records, this experience required me to recognize patterns, investigate inconsistencies, determine appropriate resolutions, and maintain accuracy while working under significant time constraints. These are the same analytical habits I would bring to reviewing fiscal, operational, and administrative information within the Legal Operations Branch.
I also developed centralized tracking systems and dashboards to maintain visibility over more than 50 concurrent operational projects. These responsibilities strengthened my ability to independently organize competing assignments, identify priorities, monitor deadlines, communicate issues, and provide leadership with reliable information for decision-making.
Alameda County Registrar of Voters
Working in an environment where accuracy and timeliness directly affected the administration of public services taught me to approach every assignment with attention to detail, consistency, and a strong sense of responsibility. I understand that State work requires not only technical competence, but also integrity, discretion, responsiveness, and the ability to apply policies and procedures consistently.
