Founder & Principal Full-Stack Engineer - Sera Technology - Houston, TX
(2025-10)
Own the entire technology function — system architecture, database design, backend APIs, web frontend, mobile, DevOps, and release management — for two production applications with zero additional engineering support.
- Bisetka (cultural gaming & social platform): architected the full stack — PostgreSQL relational schema, Node.js/Express RESTful API layer, React web frontend, and React Native app — supporting five game types (backgammon/Nardi, checkers, chess, pool, Armenian card games) with avatar customization, matchmaking, leaderboards, and social profiles.
- Built a real-time multiplayer engine with WebSocket-driven move synchronization, server-authoritative game state, reconnection handling, and in-app player chat; integrated push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging and APNs, plus in-app purchase monetization (StoreKit, Google Play Billing) and deep links for game invites and shareable AR captures.
- FriBee (hyperlocal social-commerce marketplace): designed and deployed the complete full stack — Node.js/Express backend, PostgreSQL on AWS RDS, responsive web frontend, and a React Native swipe-card discovery app — for a deals platform serving consumers and local business advertisers; deployed on AWS App Runner.
- Built an AI ad-creation pipeline in TypeScript, wiring Sora video generation into the Node.js backend so business users could generate ad videos published into the in-feed advertising pipeline; developed the companion web video editor as a React component suite with cut/trim controls and timeline scrubbing; sunset during pilot to control launch costs ahead of GA.
- Constructed growth and messaging infrastructure: SMS verification and viral share messaging on AWS SNS with 10DLC carrier registration, geo-targeted push notifications, deep links into shareable deal/business pages, and a Metabase analytics deployment on EC2 for funnel and engagement tracking.
- Engineered a first-party deferred deep-linking and auto-login system with no third-party attribution SDKs: link clicks are captured server-side with visitor IP and device signature, and on first launch post-install the backend matches the install against the recorded IP to auto-authenticate the user and route them to the linked content.
- Engineered an AR/3D rendering pipeline (Three.js/WebGL, ViroReact) on a custom Python/Blender/glTF workflow optimizing OBJ/FBX models into draw-call-optimized GLB assets, versioned via Git LFS.
- Established automated testing across both products — unit tests for game logic and shared TypeScript modules, integration tests for the Express RESTful APIs, and end-to-end suites covering matchmaking, purchases, and real-time gameplay — wired into CircleCI release gates.
- Managed full release engineering — iOS (Fastlane Match code signing, CircleCI, TestFlight, App Store Connect) and Android (Play Console) — plus DNS/email infrastructure on Route 53 and Google Workspace.
Software Engineer → Senior Software Engineer II - Flyreel → LexisNexis Risk Solutions - Remote, USA
(2021-07 - 2025-10)
Maintained the cross-platform application used by policyholders of major insurance carriers, powered by a JSON-driven rules engine that dynamically reconfigured app flows per carrier without redeploys; integrated Intercom messaging, Branch.io deep links, and Firebase for real-time sync, push notifications, and analytics.
- Elevated the flagship product's app-store rating from 2.2 to 4.5 stars by systematically profiling and fixing UX and performance regressions (startup time, jank, crash paths) and engineering context-aware in-app rating prompts.
- Designed offline-first Firebase Cloud Functions (serverless) for Firestore synchronization and push delivery that preserve data consistency and resume cleanly after connectivity drops — critical for field inspections at rural properties.
- Core contributor to the AI / computer-vision platform that drove Flyreel's acquisition by LexisNexis: built the CV pipeline (OpenCV, TensorFlow) converting single photos into accurate 3D scans for property measurement and damage assessment, with a zero-data-loss media pipeline buffering captures locally and syncing to the cloud via API on unreliable connections.
- Built a smart in-app chatbot engine driven by a JSON rules engine parsing conversation flows from uploaded configuration files, supporting text, image, video, and archive transfers, backed by a hierarchical Firestore data model organizing scans, chat history, and media by organization and user.
- Developed a companion Android SDK in Kotlin mirroring the rules engine for native Android consumers — parallel Firebase push, Intercom, and Branch.io integrations with behavioral parity from a single specification.
- Co-developed Floorscan (3D room-mapping module generating floor-plan geometry and living-area measurements, feeding a carrier-facing underwriting analytics dashboard) and contributed to SlingRing (rotational-capture module computing surface measurements from image sequences for claims assessment).
- Implemented push notifications and deep linking routing claimants from email/SMS touchpoints directly into in-progress chat and scan sessions, cutting drop-off between claim initiation and completed property scan.
- Led accessibility and localization: screen-reader support, contrast ratios, and tap targets to compliance standards; full French localization for the Canadian market; access-code + zip-code authentication protecting sensitive property and claims data.
- Owned automated testing for the flagship app: Jest unit tests and React Native Testing Library coverage for shared business logic, Detox end-to-end suites for critical claim and inspection flows, and integration tests against the Node.js RESTful API layer — all gating releases in CI.
Software Engineer (Contract) - Meta - Hybrid, USA
(2018-03 - 2021-07)
Built a custom app and GPS tracking system for campus couriers, monitoring the movement of high-value, pre-release prototype hardware across Meta campuses in real time.
- Developed the backend API logging GPS coordinates, shipment details, and courier activity to a SQL database, and engineered AWS infrastructure consolidating internal courier and third-party GPS feeds into a centralized dashboard for real-time tracking, reporting, and audit.
- Implemented role-based access control (RBAC) and digital-signature verification, giving security management full chain-of-custody records — shipments, timestamps, delivery confirmations, and signed handoffs.
- Built a real-time chat and push-alert system from scratch for couriers and offsite security officers with no third-party dependencies, improving operational response time.
- Created an internal QR-code printer app for generating and batch-printing durable QR labels, standardizing asset tagging across all Meta campus buildings, plus a companion asset-tracking app logging custody events at each checkpoint and handoff.
- Developed an asset history map visualizing every recorded movement — full path, timestamps, and handler details — enabling instant route reconstruction during audits and loss investigations.
- Partnered with security leadership to translate physical chain-of-custody procedures into software workflows, iterating directly with couriers and officers on scanning, alerting, and reporting features.
